About LifeStitch
LifeStitch started with a simple, painful realisation: the stories that make a family who they are — the jokes, the recipes, the things a grandparent said — disappear with the people who carried them. We built LifeStitch because we didn't want that to happen to our family. Or yours.
“We kept finding boxes of photos with no names, no dates. Memories that meant everything to someone — and nothing to us.”
When Kaitlyn's grandmother passed, the family found themselves sorting through shoeboxes of unlabelled photographs. People they didn't recognise, places they couldn't name, stories that had left with her. It was the kind of loss that sits quietly beneath the larger grief.
Dylan had been building software for years. Kaitlyn had spent her career thinking about how people connect with their histories. Together, we started asking a simple question: what would it look like if families had a beautiful, private place to preserve everything that matters — not just photos, but the story behind them?
LifeStitch is the answer we couldn't find anywhere else. It's built for the family that wants to do more than store — they want to preserve. To honour. To pass something real down to the people who come after.
01
Family memories are among the most personal things that exist. LifeStitch is private by design — not as a setting, not as a tier, but as a foundational principle.
02
A photo without context fades. A photo with a name, a year, a memory attached to it — that lasts. We built LifeStitch to capture both.
03
The best product experiences get out of the way. LifeStitch should feel warm and intuitive — not like software, but like something a family made together.
04
Legacy isn't only for the famous. A fisherman, a schoolteacher, a grandmother who made the best pie in the world — their story deserves to be preserved just as much.
05
No single person has all the photos. No single person has all the stories. LifeStitch is built for the whole family — because that's the only way a real archive gets built.
06
No vague promises, no surprising charges, no fine print that catches you out. We treat our customers the way we'd want to be treated — with clarity and respect.
We're a small, focused team. Every decision about how LifeStitch stores, protects, and presents your family's memories has been made intentionally — not bolted on later.
We're based in Australia, building for families everywhere. LifeStitch is compliant with Australian privacy law, and we're committed to the same standards globally.
We're not backed by venture capital. We're backed by families who believed in what we're building — and that changes what we optimise for.
