Yes, absolutely! The free plan lets you create your first archive, upload memories, and invite family to contribute, with no time limit and no credit card required. You only need a paid plan when you need more storage or want to create a keepsake video.

What happens to my archive if I cancel?

Your archive remains fully intact and accessible for 90 days after cancellation. During that time you can download everything. After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted from our servers. We will never delete your archive without advance notice.

What makes the Founding Member offer different?

Founding members lock in $99/year forever - that's our lowest rate, guaranteed for life, compared to the standard $399/year Legacy plan. You also get direct access to the founders, early input on every new feature we build, and a founding member badge on your archive. This offer is limited to 50 members.

Who can see my family's archive?

Only you and the people you explicitly invite. LifeStitch has no public profiles, no searchable content, and no social features. Everything is private by design.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at your next billing date.

Do family contributors need an account?

Yes - contributors are asked to create a free LifeStitch account before uploading. This is for your family's security: it ensures every photo and video is attributed to a real person, gives contributors the ability to manage or remove their own uploads, and creates a clear record of who added what to the archive. It also means contributors can request removal of any content they don't want included.
